Collage as Performance Development 

This course is designed for practitioners across all areas of performance, including theater, choreography, dramaturgy, scenography, sound, and costume design. Participants will use collage to develop narrative threads, process embodied research, and create dynamic visual compositions that inform and inspire improvisation and choreography. Whether working individually or collaboratively, participants will learn to use image-making as a versatile tool to synthesize ideas, develop performance elements, and communicate their vision to others. Collage-making is conjured as a tool which weaves together research, narrative, and design to support the multifaceted components of performance development.
